Set in idyllic countryside, but just two miles from the A30 (one of the major routes through the county of Cornwall), The Barn at The Old Stables is a central and easily-accessible base from which to tour the wider region.

It lies within one mile of the Camel Trail, a beautiful, riverside path that you can walk or cycle along. The towns of Bodmin and Wadebridge are only a short drive away, as is the Camel Valley Vineyard, where you can sample locally-produced wines.

Explore the natural beauty and cultural diversity of the county, from its glorious beaches and coves to well-known visitor attractions, such as the Eden Project, the Gardens of Heligan, the Tate Modern at St. Ives and the Maritime Museum at Falmouth. The Camel estuary resorts of Padstow and Rock, with their excellent restaurants, are also within reach.

The main Paddington rail link is six miles away or you may choose to fly to Newquay, which is just 15 miles away. Judith, who owns The Barn at The Old Stables, is happy to meet guests from either the station or the airport and will even arrange car hire for the duration of your stay.

Built in what was the farmyard in around 1840, the attractive stone barn has been sympathetically converted and modernised in contemporary style to provide self-contained bed and breakfast accommodation, giving guests both independence and privacy. It is approached via a farm lane, and located in a picturesque and peaceful rural setting.

Guests are guaranteed a very warm welcome, and are sure to be well looked after.
